What to Expect

Sacred Movement intensives are special monthly training experiences designed for dancers who want to deepen their craft through focused, immersive work. Each intensive centers around learning and refining one choreography, culminating in a final filmed performance.

Every month offers a new style and experience level, allowing space to grow, evolve, and challenge yourself in different ways. Over multiple days together, we train with intention—building technique, confidence, and connection within a supportive group environment.

Limited spaces create an intimate, personalized container where each dancer receives attention, clarity, and space to level up. The group size allows for depth, precision, and true progression.

❋ Focused Group Training

Each intensive is carefully designed to build strong foundations—technique, musicality, and execution—so you can approach the choreography with confidence and perform it at your highest potential.

❋ Intentional Structure

Safety is at the core of this work. These intensives are a space to show up fully, explore expression, and take creative risks while feeling supported, respected, and held throughout the process.

❋ Safety in Expression

Professional photography and videography are included, capturing both raw moments throughout the process and the final performance—so you leave with high-quality visual documentation of your work.

Heels foundations

3-Day Intensive

This intensive is primarily foundations focused. The majority of the time we will be focused on the base techniques required to dance in heels confidently. This course is designed to empower dancers with the necessary skills and technique that will give them the best base to progress heels dance.

As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin. Day 1 is all about conditioning & technique, no choreography just training!

  • Roxanne, Student

Yasmeen is an extraordinary teacher …creative, deeply musical, and technically precise, with an intuitive approach that makes learning choreography feel like making art, not just memorizing steps. Her musicality invites you to listen with your whole body, and she has a rare ability to encourage dancers to try complex movements while guiding them to feel accessible and expressive at the same time.

Through her classes and intensives, I’ve connected more deeply with my body while developing stronger technique in a way that feels grounding and liberating. Yas encourages beautiful lines, clarity, and individuality—supporting each dancer in discovering what works for their own expression.

I’ve taken many workshops with her, and every experience has made me a better dancer and deepened my appreciation for the artistry and dedication of this profession. She’s a rare gem, and I can’t recommend her enough!

  • Sarah Bouderka, Student

I did two 3-day intensives with Yasmeen and I honestly loved them. The amount of growth you get in just three days is crazy. The training is very technical on the first day, which really helps you level up, but what I liked the most was the one on one feedback she gives. Her corrections are super clear and always useful.

I also really appreciate how she adapts the intensive to every level even in an open-level intensive, if you’re advanced, you still evolve and get challenged. On top of that, we have so much fun, which makes the whole experience even better. The girls are always super nice too I already miss it.

  • Catherine Pollock, Student

I am beyond grateful to learn dance from Yasmeen. Her ability to break down intricate, creative choreography into comprehensible segments is incredible. Once we break down the movements, she guides us through seamlessly weaving them together into gorgeous performances. Plus, she has everything I look for in a teacher: she is patient, inclusive, and encouraging. I always leave her classes and intensives feeling inspired to continue on my dance journey.

Intensive FAQs

  • This intensive is designed for dancers who want to build a strong technical base in heels — not just learn choreography.

It’s ideal for beginners wanting correct foundations and intermediate dancers looking to clean up habits, improve control, and gain confidence.

  • No advanced experience is required. First-timers welcome!

You should feel comfortable moving in a class environment, but you do not need prior heels training — technique will be taught progressively from the ground up.

  • Yes — this intensive is open to first-timers.

We will be building everything from foundational technique, including posture, walks, balance, and body awareness. The focus is on learning correctly from the start, so beginners are welcome as long as you’re ready to concentrate, repeat, and train with intention.

This is a supportive environment, but it is still structured training — come prepared to work.

    • Dance Heels

    • Knee pads (encouraged)

    • Water bottle

    • Comfortable training clothes you can move in

    • Socks

This is a training intensive — expect repetition and conditioning.

  • We recommend:

    • Dance heels (9cm ideal)

    • Ankle support preferred (boot or strap)

    • Avoid stilettos without ankle support for beginners

Bring socks as well — some exercises will be done without heels to build proper mechanics first.

If you still have questions please get in touch and I’ll answer any questions you may have.

  • Yes. A photographer will be documenting behind-the-scenes moments throughout all three days. These photos will be shared with everyone after the intensive comes to a close.

On Day 3, there will be a professional dance videographer for our final performances. Participation in filming is not required, but dancers are encouraged to take part as a way to document their hard work.

If at any point you feel uncomfortable being photographed or filmed, please let me know and I will ensure your boundaries are respected.

  • Small numbers allow for individual corrections, safe training, and real technical progress.

This intensive is built like a workshop, not an open class — quality of attention matters more than quantity.
